Windows server 2008 r2 device driver is missing




















I would check the system to see what hardware devices are attached. I show that R2 is a supported OS on the , but there may be installed hardware that is not supported. If a driver is not listed on the support page of the server for a supported operating system then it uses the native driver in the OS. Long story short, I am trying to get some life our of an older PE and I have r2 installed however I have two issues.

The serial port also shows up fine as COM1. I have found no help searching for drivers for anything like that. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Browse Community. Rack Servers. You don't boot off the OS CD, there should be some kind of support CDs that came with the server to start the installation process, eventually you'll be asked for the OS media disk.
